How Do I Wash My Grounding Sheets?
Your sheets contain silver thread which is naturally antibacterial and odor resistant. This means it will require less washing than regular sheets. However, it is important to keep the sheets clean from sweat and natural skin oils to preserve its conductivity.
DO's:
- Wash your sheets twice per month
- Hand wash recommended, or machine wash on gentle cycle
- Use warm water (40°C)
- Line dry your sheets or use a dryer on low heat if needed.
- Iron only when necessary on low heat.
- Wait for one hour after applying lotions or body oils before touching the sheets.
DON'Ts:
- Do not wash with bleach or fabric softener.
- Avoid using whitening detergents or oxi-detergents.
- Do not use detergents containing oils such as lavender or coconut oil.
- Avoid using dryer sheets.
- Do not apply lotions or body oils on your skin right before bed.
Please note that using any of the products listed above could damage the silver threads and reduce the effectiveness of the sheets or make them nonconductive. By adhering to these guidelines, you can maintain the conductive properties of your GroundLife sheets and enjoy their health benefits for a longer period of time.
Should I Place It Under Or Over My Regular Sheets?
Our sheets can be placed both under and over your regular sheets. Here is why, and how you should use them:
Under Regular Sheets
Our sheets use 100% more silver fiber than competitors and an advanced smart tech pattern, which allows you to place the grounding sheet under your regular sheets. Just ensure the top sheet is thin and made of natural fibers like cotton or bamboo to allow conductivity.
Over Regular Sheets
Placing grounding sheets directly over your regular sheets is recommended if your regular sheets are made of synthetic fabrics or blended fabrics (like polyester-cotton blends), as they can interfere with conductivity, making them unsuitable for grounding.

How can it work through my regular sheets, and does it hurt the effects?
When we sleep for many hours, we sweat. Sweat is primarily composed of water and contains salts and minerals, which are good conductors of electricity. When you sweat, the moisture from your sweat can help improve the conductivity, allowing electrons to flow more easily from the grounding sheet to your body, even with a regular sheet in between.
So, the main difference is that using a regular sheet in between will add a "warm up" period to get grounded until your body releases those salts and minerals, but just giving it 10 minutes will most likely ensure you are actually grounding.
